Chappie é um filme dirigido por Neill Blomkamp, escrito por ele e por Terri Tatchell.

Foi lançado em 2015 e conta com atores do calibre de Sharlto Copley, Dev Patel, Sigourney Weaver e Hugh Jackman.

É um filme de ação e ficção científica com cenário na África do Sul, especificamente numa das cidades consideradas mais violentas do mundo, Johanesburg.

Nesse filme a força polícial de ação nas ruas tem a ajuda de robôs construídos e programados para manter a segurança e combater o crime. Eles interagem com policiais humanos e ajudam a diminuir o crime na cidade. Uma empresa constrói esses robôs. O cerebro por trás deles é um jovem engenheiro e programador.

He is a writer very well known in the modern world due to the stories of the famous detective Sherlock Holmes and his friend Watson. But Arthur Conan Doyle left also a legacy of writings exploring possibilities of adventure and discovery fiction.

One of these works is The Lost World (O Mundo Perdido – Portuguese version) , already commented in one of livrosefilmes’ articles.

Another story is The Maracot Deep (A Cidade Submarina – the underwater city – in Portuguese) written between 1927 and 1928, and it describes the adventures of professor Maracot with his companions, the young man Cyrus Headley and the mechanic Bill Scanlan. Howard Phillips Lovecraft nasceu nos Estados Unidos da América em 20 de Agosto de 1890 e faleceu nesse mesmo país em 1937.

De 1917 a 1937, Lovecraft se tornou o autor de uma extensa produção literária.

Suas histórias são de um estilo que passa pela ficção científica e também pela literatura do terror e do suspense.

Nas Montanhas da Loucura ( At the Mountains of Madness ), de 1936, é um dos seus últimos trabalhos, e é uma história muito bem escrita, que agrada os fãs de Lovecraft e que pode agradar também aqueles que porventura ainda não o conheçam.
